Demonstrate (or develop) your Fallout 4 skills and Commonwealth world knowledge with a Vault-Tec sponsored new game performance challenge.
This is specifically for new games, or vault exit save games. Ideally start a new game with SKK Fast Start New Game using the default inventory load out.
The player is given a [ Relay Tower Challenge Activator ] AID item after vault exit to start the challenge. The starting conditions are validated with a message for anything that needs “fixing” before reactivating:
(1) Game difficulty is SURVIVAL.
(2) Game Timescale is standard 20.
(3) The 6 base game relay towers in the Commonwealth have not been messed around with.
(4) Player level is 2 (or below).
(5) Player SPECIAL points are in line with level.
(6) Player Actor Values have not been messed around with.
(7) Player has no companions or followers.
(8) Player is in Vault 111 or Sanctuary location.
An anti-cheat process regularly checks attributes during the challenge to help keep you straight. If issues are detected, the challenge is stopped and can’t be restarted in that game.
Simply visit each quest marker to complete the challenge. Your Commonwealth konwledge will help to optimise the route which usually takes 1 to 2 real hours for experienced players. There is an interesting balance of sleeping for AP regeneration or take the pain and power through.
On completion a performance score is calculated based on player levels gained (less is good, so avoid experience) and time taken (less is good, focus on the task rather than regular combat, looting and building).

Considerations
(1) You can of course cheese this with mods or console to add OP stuff, but they are unlikely to materially affect the performance scoring.
(2) Disable any additional spawning mods to avoid more combat encounters slowing you down.
Compatibility
This solution has no dependencies on extenders or DLCs and does not change any existing base game scripts, assets or objects. It is 100% pure new Creation Kit forms and scripts which means there is no load order consideration and works with PC , Xbox and GamePass.

PC manual installation & removal
This must be installed in a new or early game, review the starting conditions.
Copy SKKRelayTowerChallenge.esp and SKKRelayTowerChallenge – Main.ba2 to your …Fallout 4Data directory, enable in the Bethesda mod menu, mod manger or whatever.
The mod can be disabled once the challenge is complete or stopped due to anti-cheat. Only remove mods if you are happy to accept potential conflicts from load order changes in a save game.
